Why July blew....

Thank God! July is OVER! It started in the beginning of the month with my step son and I getting into a fight. I'm 31 and he's 14. I'm a 5'3 female and he's a 5'10 male. He was constantly destroying things that I gave him but because I've been trying to build a relationship with him, I've been trying to provide cool and supportive "things" for him. (For instance, I gave him a 6 string electric Fender guitar, a computer, etc.) Ok....so I finally got sick of him breaking or disrespecting everything I've given him so I told him if he broke something else of mine, then I would break something of his. He broke 2 things and lied about both of them and broke them. One of which was an $800 computer. At 14 years old he should be able to take care of things much better than he does.
Needless to say, I took one of his games out of the drawer and told him that he needed to realize just how it felt to lose something that you deemed valuable. I smashed his game with a hammer and he flipped out. He threw a library book at one of my paintings and cursed. (Our household has NEVER been violent before this moment) so I grabbed him as a means of restraining and chilling him out and told him not to throw things in our house.
He started pushing me and finally shoved me, hard, into a counter. Out of reflex I slapped him. I told him to go to his room and he punched me in the mouth. Needless to say things haven't been the same.
I told my partner that I was going to move out and less than a week later her father passed away. Her and the boys (we have 2) flew to California and I was stuck here on the east coast. The day after they left I was home alone and had a seizure. The following day I had a major anxiety attack and was on the verge of a nervous breakdown when I decided to get out of my house and go visit a friend in a neighboring state.
I left the house and started driving. 3 hours away and something popped in my car. It sounded and felt like a flat tire but when I pulled the car over it was in flames.
I got stranded until about 2am before my friend came to get me. I went to her house for a few days and found myself fairly stranded again on the way home.
Approximately 4 days after my family had left to go west for my partner's dad's funeral, a friend of my family's passed away. The day she came back, my uncle passed away. Two days after that one of my best friends passed. I also got a letter during this time stating that my insurance wasn't going to take care of my car so we now have no car, a failing relationship and we're all struggling with the grieving process. FML. Seriously!
